Sasha Grey Eyes Role in Rob Lowe Drama

–Reuters
LOS ANGELES – Sasha Grey, the adult-film star who headlined Steven Soderbergh’s “The Girlfriend Experience,” is in negotiations to join the cast of “I Melt With You,” a low-budget drama featuring Thomas Jane, Rob Lowe and Jeremy Piven.
The story follows a group of college buddies (Jane, Lowe and Piven) who, now as adults, look within themselves and find emptiness when they have their annual summer reunion. They resurrect a pact they vowed to live, die and kill by.
Grey will play a character named Raven, described as a free spirit who helps one of the men realise that nirvana can only be achieved by death.
Mark Pellington (”Arlington Road”) will direct from a script he wrote with Glen Porter. Shooting begins in northern California next month.
Also on board are Zander Eckhouse (”Huge”) as Grey’s idealistic writer boyfriend, Abhi Sinha as a medical student, and Areielle Kebbel as a young hostess.
For Grey, a major name in the adult film world, “Melt” continues her path towards the mainstream acting world. Soderbergh audaciously made her the centrepiece of his 2009 movie, and the actress received solid notices for her dramatic debut.
Amy Fisher To Star In Four Porn Movies

SOURCE: www.radaronline.com
Amy Fisher has signed a deal to star in four porn movies, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
The Long Island Lolita is taking her shot at hardcore fame, and will produce and star for Dreamzone Entertainment. Her first film is tentatively titled, The Making of Amy Fisher: Porn Star.
Fisher, 35 and a mom of three, is pulling the trigger on a professional porn career after her amateur tape was released in 2007. That featured Amy with her husband and sold more than 200,000 copies.
She released a pay-per-view porn film previously and has her own site where she “limits” herself to working with other women, so her husband won’t get jealous.
Fisher is not holding back now. RadarOnline.com learned she starts production on her first film in August and it will be released late this year. Three other films will be released next year.
Dreamzone lists Fisher as 5-foot-3 and 105 pounds with (their description, not ours) “incredible D-cup size breasts.”
And there’ll be no Buttafuoco in Amy’s new career—she’s starring with the top talent of the porn biz, people with last names like Dabone and Gunn.
Fisher made headlines in 1992 when she had an affair with Joey Buttafuoco while she was underage, and then shot his wife Mary Jo in the face. Fisher spent seven years in prison.
“Our society loves sex,” Fisher says about her new career. “It feels so good and we should enjoy it. Sex is beautiful, powerful, and simply put, no one has the right to tell me what I can or can not do with my own private parts. This time, I get to make the choices on what kind of movies I want to make, and I am excited to work with Dreamzone to make my dreams a reality.”
RadarOnline.com obtained the treatment for her first film and the “plot” goes like this: Amy moves to LA to “explore the possibilities” of becoming a porn star. Amy meets a guy, has sex with him. Amy meets a girl, has sex with her. Amy meets two other people, has sex with them. Amy goes back to Long Island.
Commentary on Recent Stagliano, FCC Decisions: FCC Declares “bullshit” Obscene and “dickhead” as Acceptable

from www.oaoa.com – Recently an appeals court in New York overturned the federal ban on broadcast indecency, and a judge in Washington, D.C., dismissed obscenity charges against porn impresario John “Buttman” Stagliano.
The two cases show that prohibiting vaguely defined categories of speech undermines the rule of law as well as freedom of expression.
The policy rejected by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit defined broadcast indecency as “language or material that, in context, depicts or describes, in terms patently offensive as measured by contemporary community standards for the broadcast medium, sexual or excretory organs or activities.”
Broadcasters who aired such material between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. were subject to multimillion-dollar fines.
But as the appeals court noted, the guidelines for avoiding those fines were hopelessly muddled. The Federal Communications Commission has declared, for example, that unscripted, fleeting expletives uttered by celebrities during live award shows are indecent, while constant cursing by fictional soldiers in a war movie, if “artistically necessary,” is not.
The FCC said occasional expletives in a documentary about blues musicians did not deserve the same artistic license because the interview subjects could have expressed themselves differently.
The FCC said “bullshittter” was “shocking and gratuitous” because it was uttered “during a morning television interview,” then changed its mind because the context was “a bona fide news interview.”
At the same time, it warned “there is no outright news exemption from our indecency rules.” The commission said “bullshit” was unacceptable on a police drama because it was “vulgar, graphic and explicit,” but “dickhead” was OK because it was “not sufficiently vulgar, explicit or graphic” to be indecent.
The 2nd Circuit cited evidence that the FCC’s arbitrary application of its vague, subjective standards has deterred broadcasters from airing constitutionally protected material, including political debates, live news feeds, novel readings and award-winning shows dealing with sexual topics.
“By prohibiting all ‘patently offensive’ references to sex, sexual organs and excretion without giving adequate guidance as to what ‘patently offensive’ means,” the court concluded, “the FCC effectively chills speech, because broadcasters have no way of knowing what the FCC will find offensive.”
Similar problems are raised by the prosecution of obscenity, defined as “patently offensive” sexual material that “appeals to the prurient interest” (as judged by “the average person, applying contemporary community standards”) and lacks “serious literary, artistic, political or scientific value.”
Because each element of this definition is inescapably subjective, in practice it is indistinguishable from Justice Potter Stewart’s famous standard: “I know it when I see it.”
John Stagliano, founder of Evil Angel Video, faced federal obscenity charges that could have sent him to prison for 32 years. But as anti-porn activist Patrick Trueman conceded, the films cited in Stagliano’s indictment, “Milk Nymphos” and “Storm Squirters 2,” are “in many respects typical of what’s available today.”
Even if the sex acts depicted in the targeted films were highly unusual, there would be no principled basis for declaring, say, that fluid emerging from women’s bodies is obscene while fluid emerging from men’s bodies is not. This is not justice, this is a joke.
U.S. District Judge Richard Leon stopped the trial after the prosecutors rested their case, ruling that they had failed to present enough evidence tying Stagliano to the films.
But if the prosecutors hadn’t been so sloppy, Stagliano’s freedom would have hinged on exactly how icky 12 randomly selected strangers thought the movies were.
As Stagliano put it in an interview with Reason.tv, “The case law says you just play the movie and see if people are disgusted by it.”
Even Americans who don’t object to the idea of imprisoning people for movies made by and for consenting adults should worry about the unavoidable arbitrariness of obscenity prosecutions. Like broadcasters operating under the threat of indecency fines, porn producers can never be sure what material will be deemed illegal.
That kind of uncertainty should be unacceptable in a society that upholds the rule of law.
Sasha Grey Talks About Being in HBO’s Entourage
from www.collider.com -When Entourage creator Doug Ellin was developing storylines for Season 7 of the comedy, he approached adult film star turned mainstream actress Sasha Grey about doing a storyline in the vein of the Charlie Sheen/Ginger Lynn relationship of the 1990s. Luckily, she was game to sign on for the successful HBO series because, if she hadn’t been interested, the storyline would have been cut, as she was Ellin’s first and only choice for the role.
Although she didn’t have any television acting experience, Sasha Grey jumped at the opportunity to work with such talented people, both in front of and behind the camera. In an exclusive phone interview with Collider, the cross-over star talked about playing a version of herself, showing sides of her personality that people may not have seen before, and the importance of being disciplined and dedicated, if you want to succeed. Check out what she had to say after the jump:
Question: How did you get involved with Entourage? Did they approach you and ask you to do it, or did you have to audition?
Sasha: Doug Ellin, the creator, approached me and I took a meeting with him and Ally [Musika], the other writer and executive producer. I went in the building and they were playing ping-pong, and it was a really casual, fun environment, much like the show, and they told me what they wanted. They wanted Vince (Adrian Grenier) to have a new long-term girlfriend, and it was going to be in the vein of the Charlie Sheen and Ginger Lynn relationship of the ‘90s. So, it sounded fun to me, and a cool way to be myself, but also play a different version of myself as well.
Had you been a fan of the show, or did you have to catch up with the DVDs once you were cast?
Sasha: I was a fan of the show, but I didn’t watch it religiously, so I did go buy every season and I caught up with the storyline.
Did you have any hesitation about doing a TV show, or did it help that it was already a proven success with such talented people involved?
Sasha: I had no hesitations, actually. It was a great opportunity to throw myself into a situation where I was acting alongside real professionals. It’s interesting because it’s like a baby step. I’m acting with real actors, but I’m playing myself, but I’m also playing a character, so it’s half and half. It’s not full-force, but it’s a nice way to step into it and get a feel for what’s to come, and the TV world as well.
Was it reassuring to know that they were so supportive of you that they wouldn’t have even pursued this storyline, if you weren’t interested in doing the show?
Sasha: Oh, it definitely stroked my ego, I’m not going to lie about that. Yeah, that was really nice to hear, and I’m glad that I was their choice for this. It’s a nice affirmation that you’re doing well and you’re going to continue to do well.
What can you say about who you’re playing and how she fits into the story this season?
Sasha: What can I say without spoiling it? Well, Vince had a terrible accident on a movie set, so he’s ready to take risks that he wasn’t ready or willing to take before. And, I come in and we definitely have an interesting relationship. I’m like a racehorse to Vince. He’s always trying to keep up with me and, when he can’t, that male ego steps in and it’s frustrating for him. I’m one of the first women that has the confidence of being sure of myself and not needing him, but wanting the relationship and enjoying being together. Throughout the course of the season, you see a progression in the relationship. We’re always trying to test each other.
Just how wild and crazy do things get between you guys?
Sasha: I can’t say too much without ruining it, but there’s definitely a lot of emotion involved. It’s going to be taken to a place that I don’t think most fans expect, and I think that’s a good thing.
What do Vince’s boys think of you? Will there be some conflicts there, or do they like you?
Sasha: You’ll have to wait and see. Of course, Turtle likes me.
When you’re playing a version of yourself, how much of the actual you goes into the character and how much do the writers just run with it?
Sasha: They’ve definitely allowed me to be goofy because I am goofy, but that’s a side that a lot of people aren’t able to see. The stuff I’ve done with G4, people have been able to see the fun side of me, which has been great, and they were definitely able to put in the funny, silly and carefree side of me. But then, they also show my serious side and the fact that I stand up for myself. Vince and I, in the show, are always testing each other, so there’s definitely a party Sasha, and that’s not me, at all. This girl is very young Hollywood. She’s living for today, and not really worrying about tomorrow. She takes chances in her relationships and in her personal life, and I’m very safe with the people I surround myself with. I’m really particular about the friends that I keep because life is so short, and I think she definitely takes more chances with the people she lets in. But, they could be gone the next day and it wouldn’t affect her either.
Once you were cast, did the writers sit down with you and talk about what parts of you, you would be okay with including, or did they just go with their interpretation of you?
Sasha: No, we didn’t have any discussions after the initial meeting, but Doug Ellin and Ally are great writers because they picked up stuff, just from conversations we would have on set, and put it into the next episode. It was really cool to be like, “Oh, wow, we talked about that for, maybe, two minutes.” Some of the best writers are very observant writers, and they definitely threw in the fact that I love Godard. I was actually trying to get Vince to go see an Antonioni film, and they changed it to Godard because they know that most of my fans know me for loving Godard, so they wanted to keep that angle. So, they’re definitely very observant about me. But, there’s a part in there where I say, “Oh, I moved out when I was 14,” and that didn’t happen. There’s definitely a big part of me in there, but a large part of it is also character.
Do you have any concern with people thinking this is you because you’re playing a version of yourself?
Sasha: You always worry about that, no matter what the role is and no matter whether the character’s name is Sasha or not. I still have fans from The Girlfriend Experience who think that’s really me, and they say, “Hey, how’s your boyfriend Chris?” I’m like, “You wanna call him? That’s not my boyfriend. That was a film. That’s a character.” I blame it on social networking and how information is dispersed nowadays. People don’t really absorb everything they read or hear. They just look at it quickly, and then they choose to remember what they want to remember. That worry is definitely always with me, in everything I do. But, it’s Entourage and it’s a comedy. It’s funny. It’s not supposed to be super-serious. So, while it’s there, at the same time, I trust that it will be great and, at the end of the day, it’s not a huge concern.
Was one of the big appeals of doing this show the fact that so many of your fans will get to see sides of you that they may not have seen before?
Sasha: Definitely, yeah. And, not only that, but they get to see me acting alongside real actors, and testing myself in different ways. So, yeah, it’s great to be able to show my fans that there are these other sides to Ms. Sasha Grey.
Were you nervous or did you feel intimidated at all, being the new person coming into this already well-established show?
Sasha: I thought I would be, honestly. But, when I got there, everybody was very welcoming. There’s definitely a short-hand that a lot of people have with each other on set. Sometimes they’ll be talking and you’re like, “What are you talking about?” But, other than that, everybody was really welcoming.
What have you learned about yourself, as an actress, from being a part of something like this, working with all the different directors and all of these talented actors?
Sasha: It’s interesting. It just reaffirmed for me that you have to be disciplined and dedicated, if you want to do well, especially because TV shoots so quickly and you are working with different directors. You’re not working with the same director every week, so you really have to be grounded and know who your character is. At the end of the day, one director might feel a certain way about a scene, and the next week the next director is going to feel a different way, and you want your character to be consistent. You don’t want it to feel like it’s all over the place and the person has no soul. I say that lightly, but you really have to be grounded and know that the choices you’re making are the right choices.
What else do you have coming up that your fans can keep an eye out for?
Sasha: I have two albums coming out, with my band aTelecine, soon. We had some problems with the testing, so they took a little bit longer than expected. A special I did for G4 will be coming out, in the next few months. I also have a book coming out this Fall, called Neu Sex. And, I have a few projects coming up this summer that I can’t really talk about yet.
Are you more selective now, as far as what you want to do next?
Sasha: Yeah. Honestly, I look at the project and I look at the people attached and I look at the director. If it’s a role that I feel will help me, as an actor, then I’ll definitely take it. But, if it’s not going to help me, then why do it? So, I am selective, but at the same time, I want to be out there as an actor and show people my range.

Scream Queen Unleashed: Comic-Con Heats Up With Creep Van Clips Featuring Angelina Armani

Los Angeles / San Diego, CA (July 23, 2010) – Considered the largest comic book and popular arts convention in the world, Comic-Con International is currently hosting exciting behind-the-scenes glimpses of 2010’s hottest properties in the fields of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. These exciting previews will take a turn for the seductive tomorrow, Saturday evening, July 24th, as a pair of clips from the upcoming independent horror film Creep Van are screened – including one featuring 2010 AVN Best New Starlet nominee and crossover star Angelina Armani – as part of the night’s “Troma, Troma, Troma” panel.
Room 8 of the San Diego Convention Center will be the place to be tomorrow evening at 8:00pm as a pair of clips from the film, which focuses on the exploits of a deranged killer in a filthy 1970s van, are shown. In addition to the screenings, there will be a lively panel discussion featuring Troma Films kingpin Lloyd Kaufman (’The Toxic Avenger’), James Gunn (’Slither’), Adam Rifkin (’The Dark Backwards’), Darren Bousman (’Mother’s Day’), ‘Dennis Dreith (’Gag’) and more.
A throwback to the grindhouse films of yesteryear, Creep Van tells the story of Campbell Jackman, an overqualified, struggling, carless kid who responds to a “For Sale” ad for a van. His seemingly hum-drum life soon turns into a nightmare as the creepy van’s owner stalks and then pursues Campbell…and everyone around him. Biting wit and stunning “old school” special effects make Creep Van an effective and successful ode to the 1970’s horror genre.
For her part, Ms. Armani is more than a little pleased with project – and with the genre in general. “It’s overwhelming to be finally crossing over to the horror world. I’ve been a horror junkie since I was a little girl. I have learned so much and I’m thankful to be working with talented individuals. And there is no better place to be promoting this movie than at Comic Con with 400,000 fans roaming the floor!”
Things are just as exciting for Ms. Armani in the mainstream, where she can currently be seen on the cover of The Madeleine Haze’s album A More Perfect Union (http://www.myspace.com/themadhaze). Always on the go, Angelina will be doing two music videos in August before taking on her next horror project.

Lindsay Goes to Jail Spoof on Hustler.com

Larry Flynt and Team Push the Celeb Envelope… Again!
(Beverly Hills, CA)— Just as America’s most notorious celebutante packs her bags and heads for a temporary home behind iron bars, Hustler Video is giving consumers a taste of what she might expect when she hits the big house. In the new parody entitled Hustler’s Untrue Hollywood Stories: Lindsay Goes to Jail, the spoof of Lohan’s scandals begin in the judge’s courtroom and include lesbian sex with a prison guard.
“I love playing the role of one of America’s most screwed up sweethearts,” remarks porn starlet, Scarlett Fay, who plays the role of Lindsay in the lampoon. “I played Lindsay before when we made the first film [Hustler’s Untrue Hollywood Stories: Lindsay Lohan], and I couldn’t be more excited to have a chance to reprise my role in this second installment. I think you’ll love it. Getting to be Lindsay for a day is awesome. I love channeling my inner train wreck.”
Few celebrities are more fun to parody than Lindsay Lohan. The young, attractive star – known for her Hollywood relationships with both guys and girls – has mesmerized the public largely due to her tangles with the law and contentious family relationships.
Always challenging the status quo and distinct for her nontraditional approach, Lohan, like Hustler Video Founder and CEO Larry Flynt, is known for her unpredictable behavior. On the heels of Lohan’s upcoming film role where she portrays former porn legend Linda Lovelace, Hustler capitalizes on Lohan’s life-altering prison stay…and right before her own fictional entrance into the world of porn.
“I encourage Lindsay to come on set for a day and see how it really goes down,” said Director of Operations for Hustler Video, Rob Smith. “The best way to get in to character is to truly become the person you’re emulating. Most actresses perform extensive research when playing a role. We’d welcome Lindsay on-set. We’re all fans and we sincerely wish her every success as she resolves her current issues.”

Lohan Doing “Violent” Full Frontal In Lovelace Biopic?

from www.foxnews.com – In six months, when actress Lindsay Lohan has completed her 90-day jail and 90-day rehab sentence, she will prepare to do full frontal nudity for her role as porn star Linda Lovelace in the biopic “Inferno.”
And according to a report from RadarOnline.com, the nudity will not be done in an artistic, cinematic manner, but instead will be more “violent.”
“There will be full frontal nudity,” director Matthew Wilder told Radar. “But it will not be cinematic nudity – it will be more violent nudity. For example, linked images of the Vietnam war – that kind of context.”
According to Wilder, while the topic of the film is the life of a porn-star, the film will not be a porn itself.
“It’s not a porn movie, it’s an artistic movie about a porn star,” he said. “We will not see Lindsay performing oral sex, but there could be some clever play with black boxes or other cinematic tricks that the viewers may see.”
Lohan will enter into her 90-day sentence tomorrow, despite heading to rehab last week in what many claimed was a gambit to keep her out of jail.
Libertarian Party: ‘Ridiculous pornography trial violates Constitution’

“Apparently President Obama’s Justice Department is no different than former President Bush’s when it comes to prosecuting speech. Obama has sustained the ‘Obscene Prosecution Task Force,’ which was created by the Bush Administration in 2005.”
WASHINGTON – The federal trial of pornographer John Stagliano began last week. Libertarian National Committee Chairman Mark Hinkle issued the following statement today:
“The Obama Administration’s prosecution of John Stagliano is a travesty.
“As Reason magazine’s Richard Abowitz wrote, ‘The case against Stagliano concerns the selling of movies performed by consenting adults to entertain adult DVD viewers who have chosen to watch these films. In a free and open society this is exactly the kind of prosecution that should not happen.’
“Many Americans find it far more obscene that Democrats and Republicans are piling trillions of dollars of debt on our children and grandchildren, in order to further the creation and expansion of bad federal programs. The president should be worrying more about these problems, and less about prosecuting and censoring Mr. Stagliano.
“Different people will have different opinions about how valuable or harmful Mr. Stagliano’s products are. Fortunately, no one is forced to watch them.
“Federal anti-obscenity laws are unconstitutional in two ways. First, because the Constitution does not grant Congress any power to regulate or criminalize obscenity. And second, because the First Amendment guarantees the right of free speech.
“In addition, there appear to be serious irregularities in the judge’s conduct of the trial. He is reportedly refusing to allow the defense to call expert witnesses; refusing to allow the jurors to see the entirety of the films, even though that is necessary to apply the legal tests required by earlier Supreme Court rulings; and refusing to allow the press to see evidence or the questionnaires that were used in jury selection.
“It is worth noting that this case was not initiated by citizen complaints. FBI agents just purchased the materials, watched them, and then brought charges. It’s clear that the FBI budget needs to be cut.
“Apparently President Obama’s Justice Department is no different than former President Bush’s when it comes to prosecuting speech. Obama has sustained the ‘Obscene Prosecution Task Force,’ which was created by the Bush Administration in 2005.”
The Libertarian Party’s platform states, “We support full freedom of expression and oppose government censorship, regulation or control of communications media and technology.”
